FDC Charity Fund: Breast Cancer Ireland

This October, FDC Group chose to support an organisation close to the hearts of many: Breast Cancer Ireland. 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. Through personal diagnosis or the diagnosis of family members, friends and colleagues, almost everyone is affected either directly or indirectly by the disease.

Breast Cancer Ireland’s Vision: To transform breast cancer from sometimes being a fatal disease into a treatable illness for all.

Ceara Aston on Breast Cancer Awareness Day

FDC Group chose to raise money and awareness this October as a show of support to FDC employee of FDC and Associates Ltd., Ceara Aston who was diagnosed earlier this year. Thankfully, Ceara is expected to make a full recovery following her completion of treatment.

Regarding FDC’s support, Ceara commented, “FDC and Associates Ltd and FDC Group have also been very good to me between time off for appointments/my treatment and just the simple act of checking in on me to make sure I am ok, has been lovely and helps me stay positive.”

FDC Group employees raised over €2,100 in support of the cause. Through the policy created by the FDC Charity Fund, FDC Group will match donations up to €1,000, bringing the total raised this October to €3,100.
