FDC Charity Fund

FDC is committed to giving back to the community and making a positive impact on the world. Through our FDC Charity Fund, we support a range of charitable causes both locally and globally. In 2023, we donated close to €100,000 to various charitable causes. Since 2005, we have donated over €450,000 to charity, with a focus on supporting programmes that promote sustainable access to food, health and education in Ireland, as well as globally.

Our Charitable Contributions

At FDC, we believe that giving back is an essential part of being a responsible business. That’s why we set up the FDC Charity Fund in 2005, with the goal of making a positive impact on the world. We are proud to have donated over €300,000 to various charitable causes over the years, with a focus on supporting programmes that promote sustainable access to food, health, and education.

Our Partnership with Concern Worldwide

One of the primary organisations we support is Concern Worldwide, which is dedicated to improving the lives of people living in extreme poverty. Since 2012, we have sponsored a village in Malawi, contributing towards 30,000 poor and vulnerable households achieving adequate and sustainable access to food and natural resources. In 2020, we funded a Health and Nutrition Centre in South Sudan, which unfortunately was later destroyed by a flood. Additionally, we funded the construction of the  Tongdol Primary Health Care Centre (PHCC), as well as improved sanitation facilities.

 

We have committed to supporting repair efforts with all the money collected in 2021.

Local Charities We Support

In addition to our global initiatives, we’re dedicated to giving back to local communities across Ireland. We have donated nearly €70,000 to various local charities in Ireland, including Simon Community, Marymount, Irish Guide Dogs, and Pieta House, among many others.

We are proud to support our staff members in their independent contributions to charities like Irish Cancer Society, Goal, and we top up these donations by half to maximise their impact.
