    Responsibilities:

    • Preparation and Management of accounts
    • Input into and assisting with the office work plan
    • Management of multiple jobs while ensuring the key objectives are delivered as required and in a timely manner
    • Dealing with ad-hoc client queries

    Candidate Profile:

    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Self-motivation and capability of working on your own initiative
    • Strong organisational and time management skills
    • Prior practice experience within a general accounting team
    • Proficient in the use of SAGE Accounts Production
    • Proficient in the use of Thesaurus Payroll Package
    • Excellent client relationship management

  • Linux and IT Security Administrator

    FDC Group is a fast growing, full service, multi-disciplined professional service provider. We are now looking to recruit a Linux and Security Administrator to assist the Head of Group IT in the design, implementation and management of Linux/Windows based systems across the FDC Group IT Environment.

    The overall goal of this key role within the IT TEam will be to ensure that FDC Group Information Technology Infrastructure Environment is secure and operates with utmost efficiency, whilst utilising the latest technology to our best advantage.

    Resourcefulness is one of the necessary skills in this role with the ability to diagnose and proactively resolve any security issues/risks quickly. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator within an interdisciplinary team and internal/external client facing environment.

    Linux and Security Administrator will provide on-going guidance and support in the following areas of IT Administration and Security, including, but not limited to:

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Linux and Security Design and daily Operational Management
    • Endpoint Protection, Internet and email Gateway Management
    • Data storage, Linux/Security Support and assist with DR Planning
    • Experience with Linux based event management and services
    • Working knowledge of Incident, Change and Patch Management
    • Configuration Management, Patching of Server systems and Network Infrastruture
    • Third Party vendor engagement, management and on-going governance
    • Knowledge of Risk, Incident, Threat, Intrusion and Vulnerability Management
    • On-Going IT System Management Reporting and Documentation
    • Proactive CRM (Linux Based) environment Support and Administration
    • Aid with general server systems and LAN/WAN infrastructure administration, when needed, to meet business requirements and project commitments.

    Requirements

    • Proven Industry experience as a Linux Administrator, Analyst or similar role
    • Experience working with Windows and Linux Operating Systems and Various Business Platforms
    • Excellent understanding of Data Protection, IT Governance Processes and Standards.
    • Experienced in Incident, Change, Risk and Problem Management
    • Knowledge of both Logical and Physical Access Management
    • Experience working with CRM, Databases, Physical and Virtual Servers
    • Good working knowledge of General Network and System Administration
    • Working Knowledge of Data Storage, Data backup/recovery and DR Planning
    • Ability to create scripts in Linux and Windows based Operating Systems
    • Excellent customer service, resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must be willing to travel to remote sites (within Ireland) and carryout other assigned tasks, as required
    • Third Level qualification in a relevant Information Technology field or related discipline, along with any applicable IT industry certifications would be a distinct advantage

    Payroll Specialist

    As a Payroll Specialist you will take ownership of the payroll function and be responsible for managing the payroll for various clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Processing weekly, and monthly client payrolls in an accurate and timely manner
    • Administrative responsibility for management of payroll and benefit issues and accurate record keeping
    • Addressing client payroll queries and maintaining strong relationships with clients
    • processing P45s, P60s, P35s and P30s

    Candidate Profile:

    • Minimum 3 years experience processing payroll
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to meet deadlines and take ownership of role
    • Experience using systems including Sage MicroPay and Thesaurus payroll
    • A detailed knowledge of payroll processing including benefits administration and statutory payroll regulations
    • Good understanding of PAYE Modernisation

  • Trainee Tax Adviser (Limerick)

    Location: Limerick

    Our office in Limerick has a vacancy for a trainee tax adviser to join our growing team in FDC Tax Department. The candidates should have the intention of obtaining the AITI qualification to become a chartered tax adviser.

    You will be responsible for assisting tax directors/managers. You will be involved with the research of technical tax issues and the preparation of tax advice in both letter and report format. You will be liaising with clients and the Revenue Commissioners on a regular basis. The role will involve assisting senior tax advisers in the following:

    • Estate planning
    • Wealth protection
    • Structuring the succession of incorporated and non-incorporated businesses
    • Restructuring of private companies and groups
    • Incorporation of sole-traders and partnerships
    • Tax computations, completing and filing tax returns

    Salary will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications. Where applicable, AITI tax exam fees and study leave will be supported by the company in line with the company’s policy on same. References will be required.
