FDC Charity Fund: Saint Vincent De Paul Food Drive
One in three calls to Saint Vincent De Paul is related to food poverty. In 2024, approximately 484,200 people were in food poverty in Ireland (Saint Vincent De Paul).
This Christmas season, FDC Group organised a food drive across our office network. With more than 45 offices participating, FDC staff donated a significant amount of nonperishable food items, giving back directly and helping people in towns and communities where FDC offices are located.
Representatives from Saint Vincent De Paul reached out expressing their appreciation for FDC’s efforts:
We are again finding ourselves receiving a record-breaking number of calls this year. Roughly 90% of our calls are for food and heat. And we can all see in our own lives’ prices escalating every day. We aim to look after everyone, especially at this time of year. All donations received locally stay local. We are very appreciative of any donations given to us, and locally, 70/80,000 will be spent on food this December and January, with the rest going on fuel.

Saint Vincent De Paul Bandon would like to thank those in FDC Bandon who donated food to our conference for distribution in our community. We are so grateful for your kindness.
- Sarah O’Keeffe, President, SVP Bandon
