The office is located at 108 The Quay, positioned on Waterford’s historic quayside, the office sits at the centre of the city’s transformation.

The building is more than 150 years old and is a protected historic property.

The team has a front-row view of the North Quays development, including new transport and infrastructure projects taking shape nearby.

Regarding their location, Caroline Dooley commented, “We’re right in the heart of the North Quays project. We can literally see the new bridges and the new train station going up outside.”

The office acts as a regional hub, with consultants regularly travelling throughout the Southeast to meet clients. This creates additional opportunities for collaboration and client support across service lines.

In 2024, FDC funded a major renovation project to modernise the building while preserving its historic character. The refurbishment lasted more than a year. Original architectural features were retained due to the building’s protected status. Updates included:

One of the strongest messages from Caroline was the atmosphere within the team. “We’ve a very good team spirit here. Everybody gets on well, everybody works well together, and everyone is good at their job,” said Caroline. Part of the office renovation was relocation reception to the ground floor which has seen an increase into walk in enquiries, as the location has become more prominent to the quayside community.
